ACI Group is excited to announce that Alisha Hogan has been appointed to the role of Furniture Specialist, a position that will support client relations, enhance internal communication and enrich the design process.

Following years of working as a Furniture Project Coordinator within the construction industry across multiple locations, Alisha`s extensive experience brings a fresh approach to the ACI team and reunifies the Furniture Department.

We are currently facing a period of transformation not only in the way we work, but also in the way we approach our clients and our projects, and having an in-house team able to interact with all our clients from start to finish is extremely valuable.

We recently sat down with Alisha and discussed workplace design ideas and her initial thoughts on her new role.

1.       What is your favourite part in a project?

My favourite part in a project is getting clients involved in the furniture finishes for the specified items on the project. The clients get to feel the fabrics and can see them visualising the end product.

2.       What motivates you in your current role?

Having an in-house team and being able to interact with everyone from start to finish. Starting with the designers at tender stage, and all the way to the contracts manager when handing over a project.

3.       How important is workplace design for you?

Workspace design leads to a less stressful and more productive atmosphere. Employees need to feel comfortable and calm in their physical work setting to produce their best work.

4.       Where do you think workspace design is heading?

I think it’s heading towards a more co-working and hot desk environment instead of regimented workstations.

5.       What is your greatest achievement?

It`s very recent, so the achievement that stands out most is buying my own house as a bungalow renovation project.

6.       In your opinion, what makes a workplace productive?

A great workspace and good communication within the team, which also happens to be the thing I enjoy the most about my new team.
